Music should be fun!  I grew up taking piano lessons, but not having fun doing it. My music classes at school were boring and so were my piano lessons. The reason that I teach is to give other people the opportunity to have fun making music.

Music should be a life-long pursuit. Many people take music lessons as a child and quit somewhere along the way. My goal as a teacher is foster a long-term relationship with music.

Every Student learns in a different way! My job is to figure out each student's learning style and design a piano curriculum that fits their needs. My teaching materials are a combination of standard piano method books (I prefer Faber & Faber) as well as my own improvisation/ composition/ ear-training materials.
